YELD PER HECTARE: 55/ 60 quintals

WEATHER CONDITIONS: similarly to the previous year, the spring was characterized by unusual warm and dry conditions, with the exception of May, when a little drop in temperatures and some rains gave relax to the vines. In a year that will be reminded for the shutdown of the world, we were able to focus our efforts on the care of the vineyards, efforts rewarded by the exceptional quality of the grapes. The Covid year will be remembered as an outstanding vintage at Le Potazzine.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION: spontaneous fermentation last for 30/35 days in stainless steel, thanks only to our indigenous yeasts and without temperature control. Then the wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks and for further 4 months in the bottle, before being released into the market.


TASTING NOTES: This 2020 edition is all about the attractive side of the Sangiovese: floral and fruity scents, freshness and drinkability.
The nose is really “snappy” with notes of blackcurrant, cherry and Mediterranean maquis. In the mouth it discloses immediately great freshness and minerality, good tannins and structure.
