PHILOSOPHY: a Rosso di Montalcino intended as Brunello younger brother, coming from the same vineyards, whose we declass almost half of the production that will undergo long natural fermentations of 40 days carried out only by our native yeasts and a 12 months aging in 30/50 hl barrels in Slavonian oak. Our Rosso is not filtered
WEATHER CONDITIONS: the beginning of the year was marked by a rainy and mild winter, who led to an early-budding.Then, an unexpected drop in temperatures around mid-April has resulted in a couple of freezing nights: despite that, the frost didn’t affect our vines thanks to the constant breeze typical of our altitudes, which keep the vines dry and a gentler temperature. The summer that followed was very dry, but some proper showers at the right time and perfect climatic conditions during the month of September allowed the grapes to reach an excellent phenolic ripeness.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 15,00%
TASTING NOTES: an explosive red fruity nose paves the way to a well-structured and bold Rosso. The mouthfeel, rich and fulfilling, stretches in a finish of excellent length. A very distinctive Rosso, destined to a very long and intriguing evolution.
